My name is Jim Russell, and I live in what I feel is one of the most beautiful parts of the state here in the Western U.P. I was born and raised in Michigan when in the mid-80’s a job transfer sent me to St. Paul, Minnesota. At that time I received my Minnesota real estate license and worked as a part-time realtor.
In 1989 I moved to West Central Wisconsin and purchased a piece of property which allowed me the freedom to enjoy the outdoors. I went back to college evenings and weekends and graduated in 2006 with a bachelor’s degree of science. During this time, I began focusing on moving back to Michigan to revisit my roots. My grandparents owned and operated a tavern in the town of Gay in the Keweenaw Peninsula. Vacations to the U.P. drove my desire to live in Upper Michigan and in 2006 I purchased the home where I now reside on Lake Gogebic.
I enjoy the outdoors and my hobbies include hunting, fishing, skiing, and boating. I like meeting new people, and I look forward to the challenge of helping you locate your dream home!
I’ve been a fulltime agent for five and a half years, and am a licensed realtor in Wisconsin and Michigan.
